Mullein {Verbascum thapsus}
History: Known historically as a cough remedy.
Medicinal uses: Mullein is a valuble herb for coughs and catarrh, and is a specific treatment for tracheitis and bronchitis. Externally Mullein is emollient and makes a good wound healer.
Use organic mullein leaf to make hair and skin products from massage oils to soaps and ointments to liniments.
Because of the high mucilage content of the leaf, mullein is commonly still used today to make topical ointments, salves and skin creams. Mullein leaf is also used to make herbal teas, syrups and throat lozenges.
